How to reserve a county facility

Pavilions

PavilionPavilions around the county have been reserved for birthdays, family reunions, group meetings, picnics, and much more. Anyone can reserve a pavilion in the parks as long as it is available. Some pavilions, such as Floral Park Pavilion, are constantly in demand and it is wise to reserve a pavilion as far in advance as possible to make sure you get the date you want.

Pavilions can be reserved up to one year in advance and are free to the public.

Go to our "Search for a Park" section to check out what amenity each park offers. "Search For a Park" also offers pictures of what some of the amenities look like and also offers directions.

Some pavilions are only on a first-come-first-serve basis, and those are the picnic tables with a tiny roof. You can find pavilions like those at Hernando Beach and Gulf to Lake Beach.

>Search for "Pavilion" under "Search for a Park by Amenity"
>Reserve a pavilion

The sports facilities like baseball fields, softball fields, soccer fields and others can be reserved depending on their availability. The sports facilities are all first-come-first-serve, but if you need a facility to be available on a certain day you can call Parks and Recreation for a permit. However there are certain policies and procedures to follow in order to get the facility. Reservations may be made in advance by calling Parks and Recreation on Monday, for any practice Tuesday through Sunday or on Fridays for any Monday practice. During county league's, no practice will be scheduled on game days. Fields will be prepared for games on these days. If you are requesting a facility ahead of time, meaning the following week or later, it is considered a special request and it may be scheduled upon availability of the facility.

There are certain guidelines to follow for tournaments or special requests for example, a letter of request is required at least 3 weeks prior to the event, a facility use agreement may be required (depending on the size and type of event), comprehensive general liability insurance naming the Citrus County Board of County Commissioners as an additional insured in the amount of $1 million dollars may be required (again, depending on the size and type of event). There are also certain fees depending on what you're asking for: $25.00 per field, per day or $10.00 per field, per five hour time slot. Other fees could apply depending on your request.
