Senior Dining
» Senior Dining Sites
The Senior Dining Program, provides individuals aged 60 years and over with a hot meal in a group
setting at five different locations throughout Citrus County.
The meals are prepared by a caterer who specializes in the Senior Dining program.
The program is funded through the federal Older Americans Act and also by participant contributions.
Who Can Attend?
All persons over the age of 60 are eligible to become participants in the Senior Dining Program.
Unfortunately, due to limited funds, we are not able to serve everyone simply because they are over 60.
Therefore, priorities have been established which take into account one’s financial, health,
and social needs. By prioritizing, we can make sure that the most needy participants are assured a
meal. This will help assure that the program will continue.
Is There a Cost for the Lunch?
Each meal costs Citrus County Community Support Services $4.25. We ask our clients to contribute what they can toward the cost of the meal. This will help to pay the cost of the meals.
How Do I Sign Up?
