Citrus Springs Elementary collects Pop-Tops
The Home and Community Educators (HCEs), a volunteer group of the University of Florida/IFAS Citrus County Extension would like to express their appreciation to the students and staff of Citrus Springs Elementary School. For more than three years, this school has been collecting pop tabs and donating them to the Home and Community Education volunteers who recycle the tabs and donate the money to the Ronald McDonald House in Gainesville. These young people with the guidance of the great staff at Citrus Springs Elementary School and the help of their parents are reaching out to help others during their time of need. For those wishing to donate pop tops or aluminum cans, they can be dropped off at the Extension Office at 3650 W. Sovereign Path, Suite 1, Lecanto, Monday-Friday 8-5 pm, 527-5700. Pick-ups can be arranged by calling Dot Lehman at 628-7469 or Estelle Bentley at 621-0698.
