Building Permit & Application Information

You can now access real-time information on building permits and contractors. You can also access information by searching by subdivision, address, or contractor's trade.

We would suggest you check the status/licensure on the contractors before hiring them to make sure they are up to date with their licenses and that they are licensed to work in Citrus County.

These are the available options you have for searching:

(When you perform a search, each section is separate. For example, you will perform a search either by Company OR Trade OR Permit Number OR Subdivision OR Address. You cannot combine more than 1 search at the same time.)

Company/Contractor:
Example: Acme, Inc. - try typing Acme.
Trade (Building Contractors, Electrical Contractors, Plumbing Contractors, etc.):
Choose a trade:

Permit Number:
Enter the 9 digit permit number.

Subdivision:
Enter the subdivision name:
Address:
You have the option to select as many (or as few) fields below as you like, but you must enter the Street Name. If you do not know the complete street name, enter as much as you know. The search will return everything close to what you have entered.

If you want to find an address on "Pine Street" you can type in Pine in the street name and leave all of the other fields blank (or with "All" selected). The results from that type of search would show you everything with the word Pine in it, like; Pine, Pine Ridge, Spruce Pine, etc. Some street names are used in more than one city, so make sure you check the city when you view the results (or you can enter the city in the search criteria beforehand).
