Environmental Enforcement and Illegal Dumping Program
The Hazardous Material Section is trained and experienced in the prosecution of environmental
crimes. The Section works closely with other State and Federal Law Enforcement agencies. They are
members of the Southern Environmental Enforcement Network.
It is against the law to improperly dispose of hazardous materials/wastes, either as a business
or as a homeowner. We all must take an active role in protecting our environment in Citrus County.
