 Charles A. Black #2 Water Treatment Facility - Crystal River, Fl.
The Charles A. Black #2 Water Treatment Plant operates in conjunction with the Charles A. Black
#1 Water Treatment Plant. It is capable of supplying the western section of the county's service
area. The plant is put into operation automatically when the systems demand is high. It is supplied
by two production wells pumping to 1 million-gallon storage tank.
The plant is equipped with a back-up generator to operate during power outages and telephone
dialer system that will notify Utility personnel of a system problem. The seven potable water
production wells located at the Charles A. Black #1 & #2 Water Treatment Facilities are capable
of pumping over 18,000,000 gallons of water per day.
